What To Do After Your Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Post-Treatment Care for Laser Hair Removal

  • Soothe the Skin: Mild redness and sensitivity are normal. Apply a cool compress or aloe vera gel to calm the area.
  • Avoid Heat & Friction: Skip extra hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, and intense workouts that cause excessive sweating for 24-48 hours. Wear loose clothing to prevent irritation in treated areas.
  • Avoid Sun Exposure & Use Sunscreen: The treated skin will be more sensitive to sunlight. Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen daily and wear protective clothing to prevent hyperpigmentation. Avoid tanning beds and direct sun exposure for at least two weeks.
  • No Picking, Scratching, or Exfoliating: You may notice shedding or slight crusting in the treated area. Let it happen naturally—do not scrub or pick at the skin.
  • Keep the Skin Hydrated: Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and reduce irritation.
  • Skip Harsh Skincare Products: Avoid retinols, exfoliants, acids, scrubs, and harsh cleansers for about 5 days post-treatment. Stick to gentle, fragrance-free products.
  • Shaving is Okay, but No Waxing or Tweezing: You can shave between treatments, but do not wax, tweeze, or use hair removal creams, as they disrupt the hair follicle and reduce the laser’s effectiveness.
  • If You Experience Any Unusual Reaction: Mild redness and swelling are normal, but if you notice blistering, severe irritation, or prolonged discomfort, reach out to us for guidance.
  • Plan for the Next Session: Hair reduction happens gradually, so keep up with your scheduled treatments for the best results.
