Avoid alcohol, smoking, and excessive salt intake, as these can contribute to swelling and delay healing.
Refrain from strenuous exercise or activities that increase blood circulation, as this may lead to increased bruising.
Avoid NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen or naproxen), unless directed by your doctor. Tylenol® (acetaminophen) may be taken if needed.
Stay out of direct sun exposure and avoid tanning beds to prevent unnecessary skin irritation before the procedure.
Day of Treatment
Arrive with clean skin—do not wear makeup, lotion, sunscreen, or any skincare products.
Wear comfortable clothing to avoid irritation around the treatment area.
Eat a light meal before your appointment to prevent lightheadedness.
Avoid excessive facial movements and refrain from chewing gum.
Inform your provider of any new medications, recent infections, or health changes, as these may affect your eligibility for treatment.
