Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal uses concentrated beams of light (lasers) to remove or reduce unwanted hair.

The laser targets pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light is absorbed by the pigment, which converts to heat and damages the hair follicle, inhibiting or delaying future hair growth.

At Azure Dream Spa, we have been helping clients of all skin tones and types get rid of unwanted hair for over 10 years.

We recommend starting with a package of 5 sessions, this allows us to target the area throughout multiple growth cycles. Some clients are happy with the hair growth they experience after 5 sessions, while others may choose to continue treatment to further hair reduction.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a hair removal method that uses electric current to permanently destroy hair follicles, preventing future hair growth.

A very fine probe is inserted into each individual hair follicle (without piercing the skin), and a small electric current is delivered to destroy the hair root. The hair is then removed with tweezers.
Electrolysis is suitable for all hair types that may not be 100% treatable with laser hair removal, such as blonde, grey, white, red, and very fine hair.

Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required to ensure complete hair removal.

FAQs

Should I do laser or electrolysis?

Both laser hair removal and electrolysis are effective methods, but the right choice depends on your hair type, skin tone, and long-term goals.

  • Laser hair removal is faster, ideal for larger areas, and works best on darker hair.
  • Electrolysis is FDA-approved for permanent hair removal and works on all hair colors and skin types, but it’s more time-consuming.

What areas can I treat?

Laser hair removal can be used on nearly any area with unwanted hair, including the face, arms, underarms, full legs, lower legs, bikini line, Brazilian area, buttocks, back, shoulders, chest, abdomen, neck, jawline, feet, and toes. If you're unsure whether a specific area can be treated, we’ll be happy to discuss it during your consultation.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is based on the area being treated and is offered in packages of 5 sessions for optimal results. Each area requires a different amount of time and precision, so costs may vary. During your consultation, we’ll provide a customized treatment plan and pricing based on your goals and chosen areas.

What laser do you use?

We use the Candela Gentle Max Pro laser, a trusted medical-grade device known for its safety, effectiveness, and precision.

This machine utilizes both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths, making laser hair removal treatment suitable for all skin tones, while delivering powerful results with minimal discomfort.

The Candela Gentle Max Pro includes a cooling system to enhance comfort during treatment.

How long do results last?

Laser hair removal offers long-lasting results. After completing a full series of sessions, most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free skin for months or even years. While some hair may eventually regrow, it’s typically finer and lighter. Occasional maintenance sessions may be needed to maintain optimal results over time.

How Does it Work?

1. Book a Consultation

We start off with a consultation so our technicians can look at the area you’re looking to treat and make sure you’re a good candidate for the treatment you’re seeking!

2. Discuss Your Goals

During your consultation, your technician will go over your individual goals, pricing, and best option for treatment depending on your hair type and color.

3. Treatment Plan & Follow Up

You technician will give you an estimated number of sessions it will take for you to reach your treatment goal and let tell you when to come back (typically 4-6 weeks) to achieve optimal results!
