Broken Vein & Capillary Treatment

Broken Vein & Capillary Treatment

Our team of nurses and master estheticians is highly experienced in treating proven capillaries and spider veins. Depending the area you’re looking to treat, your provider may recommend Vasculaze, Sclerotherapy, or a combination of both.

Vasculaze is a non-invasive procedure that uses a laser to target spider veins, broken blood vessels, and other vascular lesions, revealing smoother, more radiant skin.

Sclerotherapy treats larger twisted or burst veins, known as varicose veins with a small injection, administered by our nurse.

Both treatments cause broken veins to close, forcing blood through healthier veins.

What to expect

What to expect during your Broken Vein & Capillary Treatment treatment

Consultation

You will meet with one of our providers to discuss your treatment goals and timeline. It’s common for areas with many broken veins or larger broken veins to require multiple sessions. Our providers will assess the treatment area and construct a treatment plan for you.

Treatment

Depending on the area being treated, a topical numbing cream may be applied 45 - 20 minutes before the procedure. Most clients report mild discomfort, similar to a rubber band snap.

Your provider will monitor your skin and discomfort level throughout the procedure. Depending on the treatment area and procedure, barrier cream may be applied at the end of the procedure to calm the skin and smooth any discomfort you may have.

Recovery

During the first one to five days after your treatment you may experience slight bruising and soreness in the treated area. The treated veins may darken or scab as the body works to break them down. You will start to see the treated veins disappear one week after the procedure, and they will continue to improve in the following two to four weeks.

Follow Up

If you’re completing a series of treatments your provider may ask you to come in for treatment every four to six weeks.

It’s important to take care of your skin post-procedure to keep up the results! Your provider will guide you through at home habits and future treatment timelines to receive the best possible results!

Before Treatment

  • Stop using retinol at least 10 days before treatment
  • Wait to book your treatment if you have had any other facial treatments done in the last 14 days.
  • If you have a sunburn or fresh tan (real or sunless) wait two weeks to receive treatment.

Aftercare

  • Limit sun exposure for 1 week after treatment, and wear sunscreen daily to protect your skin.
  • You’ll notice dark spots rise to the surface of your skin within 1-2 days. This is a sign that the treatment is working! Allow them to flake off on their own over the next 1-2 weeks to prevent hyperpigmentation.
  • Do not pick!

Timeline & Follow Up

  • We recommend an initial series of 3 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart, unless otherwise directed by your provider.
  • Your provider will give you personalized instructions for follow up treatments, as well as advice on how to get the most out of your treatment and meet your skin goals!
