Forehead

The Treatment: Injecting Botox into the forehead relaxes the frontalis muscle to soften horizontal lines caused by raising your eyebrows.

Typical Number of Units: 10 to 40 units is often needed to treat the forehead area with Botox or other wrinkle relaxers.

Results: Results of Botox injections into the forehead typically last 3-6 months.

Eyebrows

The Treatment: Botox injections can subtly lift the eyebrows and open up the eye area by relaxing the depressor muscles that pull the brows downward.

Typical Number of Units: 10 to 20 units of Botox is often needed when injecting the brow area. Your injector may recommend treating adjacent areas like the 11 lines or forehead to balance the eyebrow lift, which would use additional units.

Results: Results of Botox injections into the eyebrow area typically last 3-6 months.

11 Lines

The Treatment: Botox injections relax the  facial muscles between your eyebrows (glabellar) to smooth out vertical frown lines.

Typical Number of Units: 10 to 30 units of Botox is often needed when injecting the 11 lines (glabellar) area. Your injector may recommend treating adjacent areas like the  eyebrows or forehead to balance the 11 line treatment, which would use additional units.

Results: Results of Botox injections into the 11 lines (glabellar) typically last 3-6 months.

Crow's Feet

The Treatment: Botox injections relax the tiny orbicularis oculi muscles around the outer corners of the eyes that crease the skin when you smile or squint.

Typical Number of Units: 10 to 25 units of Botox is typically needed when treating crow's feet wrinkles.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat crow's feet wrinkles typically last 3-6 months.

Bunny Lines

The Treatment: Botox injections smooths out the fine diagonal wrinkles on the sides of the nose, often called "bunny lines" by temporarily relaxing the nasalis muscle.

Typical Number of Units: 4 to 10 units of Botox is typically needed when treating crow's feet wrinkles.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat bunny line wrinkles typically last 3-6 months.

Lip Flip

The Treatment: A lip flip uses a small amount of Botox to relax the upper lip muscle so the lip gently rolls outward and appears fuller. A lip flip is a temporary alternative to lip filler.

Typical Number of Units: The number of units used during a lip flip varies. Many practices charge a flat rate for a lip flip.

Results: Results of a lip flip typically last 1-4 months.

Gummy Smile

The Treatment: Botox injections relax the upper lip elevator muscles so the lip drapes lower when you smile, showing less of your gumline.

Typical Number of Units: 4 to 15 units of Botox is typically needed when treating a gummy smile.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat a gummy smile typically last 3-6 months.

Downturned Mouth

The Treatment: Botox can lift a downturned smile by relaxing the Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscle, which pulls the corners of the mouth downward.

Typical Number of Units: 4 to 15 units of Botox is typically needed when treating a downturned mouth. Your injector may suggest treating other areas, such as the platysmal bands, to ensure a balanced treatment, upping the number of units needed.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat a downturned mouth typically last 3-4 months.

Masseter Muscles

The Treatment: Masseter muscle Botox is a  relaxes the chewing muscles to relieve tension, stop clenching and teeth gringing, and slim the lower face.

Typical Number of Units: 40 to 60+ units of Botox is typically needed when treating the masseter muscles. Your injector may recommend treating additional areas, such as the platysmal bands or DAO muscles, depending on your anatomy and desired result.

Results: Results of Botox injections to the masseter muscles typically last 3-6 months.

Platysmal Bands

The Treatment: Botox injections into the platysma muscle temporarily relax the vertical bands connecting the neck and jaw to create a smoother, more defined neckline.

Typical Number of Units: 26 to 40 units of Botox is typically needed when treating the platysmal bands. Your injector may recommend treating additional areas, such as the DAO muscles or the trapezius muscles, depending on your anatomy or desired results.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat the platysmal bands typically last 3-6 months.

Trapezius Muscles

The Treatment: Injecting Botox into the trapezius muscles, commonly called "TrapTox" or "Barbie Botox", relaxes tight muscle fibers to visually slim the shoulders and ease chronic pain in the area.

Typical Number of Units: 40 to 100 units of Botox is typically needed when treating the trapezius muscles. Your injector may recommend treating additional areas, such as the platysmal bands or masseter muscles, depending on your anatomy and desired results.

Results: Results of Botox injections to the trapezius muscles typically last 3-6 months.

Hyperhidrosis Treatment: Underarms, Palms, and Feet

The Treatment: Botox injections stop the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that tells your sweat glands to turn on. Injecting the underarms, palms, or feet is an effective way to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Typical Number of Units: 100 units of Botox per treatment area (50 on each side) is typically needed when treating for hyperhidrosis.

Results: Results of Botox injections to treat hyperhidrosis typically last 4-6+ months.

Full Face Acne Treatment

The Treatment: Botox blocks nerve signals that stimulate sebaceous glands (oil glands), lowering sebum production that feeds acne causing bacteria. Botox is injected using the microdroplet technique, covering the entire acne-prone area.

Typical Number of Units: The number of units varies based on the size of the area treated. Many providers charge a flat rate for this treatment.

Results: Results of Botox treatment for acne typically last 3-6 months.
