How does Morpheus8 RF Microneedling work?

1. Microneeedling

A matrix of tiny needles penetrates the dermis (the layer of skin that contains collagen and is responsible for your skin’s overall structure) creating micro channels, to immediately stimulate collagen production.

2. Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency energy is delivered deep into the skin via the microchannels created by microneedling. RF energy is used to remodel collagen and jumpstart the body's natural healing process.

3. Vibrant, Clear Skin

The skin heals, creating new collagen, revealing healthy, youthful skin.

Results become visible about 3 weeks post-treatment. Full results are revealed approximately 3 months after your last treatment.

What to expect

What to expect during your IPL Photofacial treatment

Consultation

You will meet with one of our providers to discuss your treatment goals and timeline. Our providers will let you know if Morpheus8 RF Microneedling is the right procedure for you or suggest a different procedure that suits your needs better!

Treatment

You will be numbed with a topical numbing cream 45 minutes before the procedure. Most clients report mild discomfort, similar to a rubber band snap, sunburn, or heat beneath the skin.

Recovery

Immediately after receiving Morpheus8 you can expect the treated area to be red, sensitive, and slightly swollen.

Seven to ten days after your procedure you will see dark spots faded and fine lines decreased, revealing fresh, glowing skin! Your skin will continue to improve in tone and texture over the next few weeks!

Follow Up

For best results, we often recommend completing a series of three to six Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling treatments, or receive this treatment in tandem with other treatments.

Prep for your appointment

Before Treatment

  • Stop using retinol at least 10 days before treatment
  • Wait to book your treatment if you have had any other facial treatments done in the last 14 days.
  • If you have a sunburn or fresh tan (real or sunless) wait two weeks to receive treatment.

Aftercare

  • Limit sun exposure for 1 week after treatment, and wear sunscreen daily to protect your skin.
  • You’ll notice dark spots rise to the surface of your skin within 1-2 days. This is a sign that the treatment is working! Allow them to flake off on their own over the next 1-2 weeks to prevent hyperpigmentation.

Timeline & Follow Up

  • We recommend an initial series of 3 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart, unless otherwise directed by your provider.
  • Your provider will give you personalized instructions for follow up treatments, as well as advice on how to get the most out of your treatment and meet your skin goals!
